Senior Full-Stack PHP Engineer

Location: LATAM

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance a production multi-tenant Symfony application.
Own backend features, architecture decisions, and performance improvements.
Build primarily internal controllers, with some REST APIs.
Design and operate asynchronous and background processes for scalable solutions.
Improve system scalability using Doctrine ORM and Memcached.
Contribute to frontend features, including Twig, Bootstrap, and jQuery integrations.
Ensure reliability and robustness of the system through testing, CI/CD, and observability.
Collaborate with other teams to improve and support production systems.

Requirements

5+ years of experience working with PHP and Symfony.
Strong programming skills in PHP 8.3+ with strict typing.
Proficiency in Doctrine ORM and experience with database migrations.
Experience with asynchronous processing and background job management.
Knowledge of Memcached for improving system performance and scalability.
Experience using AWS SDK (S3, SES) for cloud services integration.
Hands-on experience with Datadog APM for performance monitoring.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including frameworks and libraries like jQuery, DataTables, Select2, and Flatpickr.
Experience with Twig, Bootstrap 4.6, and front-end web technologies.
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins.
Familiar with Playwright for end-to-end testing and ensuring system reliability.
Advanced English proficiency for collaboration and documentation.
