Senior Full Stack Engineer – Java/Spring Boot & React

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise healthcare management systems across backend and front-end layers.
- Build and maintain Java and Spring Boot applications and services.
- Support existing Vue applications and contribute to UI modernization toward React.
- Independently own and deliver features across API and UI layers.
- Partner with Product and UI teams on Scheduler and related ECAL functionality.
- Develop new software solutions while supporting and modernizing legacy applications.
- Integrate user interfaces, server-side components, APIs, and databases.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, including environments using AWS CDK.
- Support and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and related services.
- Collaborate with distributed, cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable software.
- Manage medium-to-high complexity tasks independently and proactively identify and escalate risks or blockers.
- Gather requirements from internal teams and external stakeholders and propose technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, architecture decisions, and code reviews.
- Apply automated testing, design patterns, clean code, and software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, with strong Java expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in Java SE, Java EE, and Spring Boot.
- Strong full-stack experience, including hands-on front-end development with React and/or Vue.js.
- Ability to independently deliver features across backend APIs and front-end UI.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with microservices architectures.
- Experience with cloud platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, clean code, and enterprise development practices.
- Experience supporting and modernizing legacy Java applications.
- Ability to work independently on medium-to-high complexity initiatives and collaborate with distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills with technical teams, product stakeholders, and business partners.
- React strongly preferred; Vue-to-React migration and front-end modernization alongside an existing Spring Boot backend. AWS preferred; GCP/Azure exposure, AWS CDK, and Infrastructure as Code are valuable.
- Kafka or other event-driven architectures; healthcare application experience or familiarity with HIPAA requirements.
