Responsibilities
- Administer Linux servers, implement networking configurations, and apply security best practices.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines suitable for independent/on-prem deployments.
- Implement and operate monitoring and logging to quickly detect and triage issues.
- Deploy and manage Rust and React applications in production environments.
- Define and run robust manual deployment processes (artifacts, verification, rollback) when avoiding major cloud providers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software development.
- Experience with Linux server administration, networking, and security best practices.
- Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for independent/on-prem servers.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and logging to enable rapid detection of issues.
- Experience deploying and managing Rust + React applications in production.
- Ability to support manual but robust deployment processes without relying on major cloud providers.
- Configuration management (Ansible) and system automation (Bash/Python scripting).
- Containerization & image hygiene (Docker/Podman), reverse proxies (Nginx/Traefik).
- Secrets management (Vault, KMS equivalents on-prem), certificate automation.
- Artifact repositories and release management (Nexus/Artifactory); SBOM/signing.
- Infrastructure as Code for on-prem (Terraform/Packer) and GitOps-style workflows.
