IT Support Technician

Location: Santa Cruz de la Sierra - Bolivia (On site)

We are seeking a professional to ensure the availability, performance, and security of our IT systems, providing end-user support and maintaining IT infrastructure aligned with our information security standards.This role combines helpdesk support, operational IT tasks, and contributions to security and compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, SOC 2).

Responsibilities

End-User Support

  • Provide first-line and second-line IT support to internal staff.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and corporate applications.
  • Support users with VPN access, account creation, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding processes (equipment setup, accounts, access permissions).
  • Coordinate equipment replacement, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

Operational IT Tasks

  • Administer MDM (Mobile Device Management) and endpoint protection (Bitdefender, antivirus policies).
  • Manage asset inventory (hardware, licenses, consumables).
  • Support application tickets and follow up on incident reports.
  • Handle procurement requests (quotes, purchase orders, supplier coordination).
  • Ensure backup routines, email continuity, and basic cloud administration.
  • Develop and maintain basic scripts or automation workflows.

Security & Compliance

  • Verify antivirus compliance and resolve policy deviations.
  • Support ISO-related activities (evidence collection, control implementation, audit readiness).
  • Enforce IT security controls and document compliance tasks.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity testing.

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support/helpdesk.
  • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and mobile device environments.
  • Experience in endpoint protection, VPNs, and MDM solutions.
  • Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, firewall, Wi-Fi).
  • Understanding of IT security principles and ISO 27001 practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • English: Intermediate–Advanced (B1 intermediate or above).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with ticketing tools (Zendesk, Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Familiarity with AWS and GCP environments.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Professional, Security+.
  • Previous experience in IT roles with compliance responsibilities (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Experience developing IT workflows or automation using scripting languages or platforms (e.g., Power Automate, Google Apps Script, or similar).
