SOC 2 Compliance Consultant

We are seeking a professional responsible for leading and supporting the implementation, documentation, and verification of SOC 2 (Type II) controls. This role will work closely with IT, Security, and business teams to ensure the organization meets the Trust Services Criteria: Security, Availability, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity, and Privacy. The consultant will not only manage evidence collection and audit readiness but will also guide the company toward successfully achieving SOC 2 Type II certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate activities to ensure compliance with SOC 2 Type II.
- Develop, document, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls.
- Collect, organize, and validate evidence demonstrating eff ective implementation of controls.
- Work with IT, development, and operations teams to continuously improve control eff ectiveness.
- Track fi ndings, deviations, and remediation plans until closure.
- Prepare and support internal and external SOC 2 audits.
- Provide awareness and training sessions on SOC 2 compliance requirements.
- Create dashboards and compliance metrics for executive reporting.
Requirements
- 3–6 years in Information Security, IT Audit, or Compliance roles.
- Direct experience in SOC 2 audits (Type I or II) highly valued.
- Experience in compliance for international clients is desirable.
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Networks, or related fi elds.
- Preferred: Certifications in SOC 2, IT Audit, Cybersecurity (CISA, CISM, ISO 27001, etc.).
Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria and audit processes.
- Familiarity with:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Log monitoring and SIEM tools.
- Endpoint security and data protection (encryption in transit/at rest).
- Network and perimeter security.
- Ticketing/task management systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Power BI or equivalent for compliance dashboards.
- Strong technical writing skills for compliance documentation.
- English B2 or higher for interaction with auditors and international clients.
